CRANBERRY TWP., PA (Jan. 2, 2019) – PLS Logistics Services, a third-party logistics provider, raised over 4,200 items for food banks nationwide during its company wide food drive from November 18 to December 13.
PLS partnered with local food banks in 10 U.S. cities that PLS is located in. Each office was given a pre-determined donation goal based on branch size, and every office was able to exceed its goal. This year, PLS raised 300% more items than last year’s food drive.
“It is incredibly rewarding to know that our organization is making such a positive impact on communities across the country this holiday season,” Greg Burns, President and CEO of PLS Logistics, said.
All items that were collected will be donated to various food banks and pantries including the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, Catholic Charities in Charlotte, Philabundance in Philadelphia, CrossRoads in Dallas, Mom’s Pantry in Phoenix, and more. These food banks and organizations work to help feed families, refugees, and individuals struggling to find nutritional foods due to housing and medical costs or lack of resources. Burns said he is proud that PLS is able to help make a difference and is excited to continue to give back to communities.
