Founded in 1991, PLS Logistics Services has become one of the country’s leading logistics services providers. Based in Cranberry Township, PA, a suburb of Pittsburgh, PLS provides dependable outsourced logistics solutions as well as freight brokerage services.

We manage more than 1 million loads each year through all major freight modes: truckload, LTL, rail & barge, air & ocean, and intermodal. Through our innovative TMS and carrier network, we make efficiency and transparency a top priority for our customers.

Frequently Asked Questions

New carriers can onboard via RMIS at www.plscarriers.com. Once your onboarding is complete and it shows you are certified, you will be issued a username and password from PLSPro.com. Upon receipt, you are welcome to log in and review or bid any freight that is accessible with your credentials.

We hire freight carriers with all types of equipment but mostly dry van, reefer, flatbed, intermodal, drayage, air, and LTL.

We offer our proprietary, web-based carrier portal PLS PRO. It’s a simple, easy-to-use tool that lets you find and manage loads, receive and send updates, and collect data.

Standard documents are the Invoice and POD. At times, we may need some additional documentation. Our team will let you know when any additional paperwork is required.

Quick Pay is an advanced payment program, widely used among transportation companies. The Quick Pay form is available in RMIS or you can request it. With Quick Pay, we pay you in 7 days at a 4% reduction from the total amount scheduled to be paid.

You can find and manage all the available loads in PLS PRO, our advanced proprietary carrier portal.

To submit check calls, you can integrate your technology to PLS MacroPoint tracking. Tracking be set up via API, ELD, or driver’s cell phone (MacroPoint will guide you through the process).

You can always apply on our website for any of the positions but if a recruiter has your resume, that’s all we need!

We have a unique company culture! Our sales floor is very lively and active. We are always doing fun things around the office especially for holidays. Your health insurance benefits will be effective the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment!

It’s truly unlimited! Subject to a managerial approval. Just give us a solid notice before you submit your request! 

Training can depend on what type of job you are applying to, but we have a great sales training program. Everyone in the company starts on the same day so you’re never alone! A Corporate Trainer will guide your class and you don’t need to have any prior logistics expertise! 

We work with all size companies in any industry from small start-ups, mom and pop type shops, all the way up to some major national brands and fortune 500 companies! If there is freight to ship, we can certainly find a solution.

To become a customer at PLS Logistics Services, you must fill out our set-up application form, which can be provided by one of our account executives.  This form must be filled out in order to book any shipments and/or guarantee any rates provided.

To get a quote, fill out this form and a rep will reach out to you within a day!  

Businesses that have over $1 million in annual revenue and a DNB paydex of 60 or more can qualify for a line of credit. In some instances, exceptions can be made if one criterion is slightly below the threshold. 

The payment options for shipments are: 

Credit card using our PLS Pay Portal (2.5% fee associated with payment) 

Send a photo of a check made payable to “PLS Logistics” to epayments@plslogistics.com  

Wire Transfer (1 hour or more to process and release) 

ACH Transfer (2-3 days to process and release) 

Yes, using our TMS system PLS PRO which reports and notifies you up to date with shipment status and location 

Other capabilities include efficient load tracking. 

Yes, when signed up as a PLS Logistics Services customer you can inquire about receiving your own login to PLS PRO to start quoting and booking your own LTL shipments with our 200+ LTL carriers.  

To get a quote, you will need to provide the origin city/zip code, destination city/zip code, commodity/packaging, estimated weight/dimensions, shipment type (LTL or full-truckload), and any additional information/special requirements for the load
