CRANBERRY TWP., PA (Oct. 23, 2018) — PLS Logistics Services, a leading third-party logistics provider headquartered in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, held it’s first “Police Appreciation Week” during the week of October 15 – 19.
PLS Logistics provided the Allegheny County, City of Pittsburgh and Cranberry Twp. police departments with catered lunches during it’s first “Police Appreciation Week.” PLS Logistics created the appreciation week to show gratitude for all of the hard work that the officers do for the Pittsburgh community. PLS Logistics’ team members interacted with the officers at each department and were able to learn more about what goes into the different officers’ day. Greg Burns, President of PLS Logistics, said that he was thrilled to be able to show appreciation towards the officers.
“At PLS, we’re incredibly grateful for the dedication these officers show by protecting their local communities,“ Burns said. “I am extremely happy that we were able to show our support for these men and women and brighten their day with a free meal.”
PLS Logistics plans to continue to give back to the local law enforcement organizations throughout the upcoming year.
“We are constantly looking for new ways to give back to the community and are very grateful for our local law enforcement and everything they do for the surrounding community,” Burns added. “Thanks to the PLS marketing group, along with the police community liaison groups for their efforts in making this a successful event.”
