Once the company has extended you a job offer, be sure to follow-up with the recruiter or hiring manager with a few key questions that could ultimately decide if you accept or defer their offer. Answering these 7 simple questions could help you determine if you’re ready for the job’s responsibilities within the company’s guidelines.
These questions may include:
- What is my job title and description?
- What are my daily tasks?
- What are my hours?
- How would you describe the corporate culture?
- Is there room for advancement within the company?
- Is the salary negotiable?
- Can you please send me the offer and the company’s benefits package?
Think about the answers you’ve received from the hiring manager or recruiter. In addition, make sure you’re a good “fit” within the company; did you feel comfortable during the interview? Is this a place where you will succeed? Can you see yourself working for this company five years from now? If you answered “yes” to all three of these questions and feel as though you have something to contribute to the company in the specific position, then congratulations, you are ready to accept the job offer!
