Job Description: Logistics Coordinator
Job Summary
Ensure daily customer service requirements and carrier utilization plans are met with respect to performance and profitability.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Dispatch shipments to motor carriers by following customer service requirements and carrier utilization plans to achieve performance and profit objectives
- Monitor and ensure shipments are confirmed picked up and delivered as scheduled
- Monitor carrier performance and report carrier failures
- Maintain productive working relationships with customer representatives, motor carriers, and PLS employees
- Maintain and manage accurate records and submit them in a timely manner
- Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned
Minumum Requirements
- PC proficient (Microsoft Office preferred).
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Minumum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or work experience in related field
- Work weekends on a rotating shift, fast-paced, high-stress environment
