Employee Training We appreciate that employees come to PLS with different backgrounds and different skills. We also understand that, as you progress, your skills and knowledge need to grow with you. That's why we place a high priority on employee training. We want you to have the tools you need to keep you motivated and help you reach new heights in your life and in your career. Here are just a few of the many training courses we offer to get you up to speed and keep you there.
Freight Solutions PLS' Freight Solutions division has an exciting training program for all new AETs (Account Executive Trainees). This training program incorporates various learning formats and methodologies including, but not limited to: stand-up facilitation, on-the-job-training, self-directed learning, small group and individual activities. All learning revolves around information specific to PLS, the transportation field, and advanced industry specific sales training. Only the most relevant information is presented to support the trainees and position them for success once they become AEs (Account Executives). Additional classes that are presented include: industry terminology, company specific software (used on a daily basis), time management and organization, and geography. Various other courses supporting the role of sales are also offered. Aside from the sales training program, the full process to become an AE ranges from 6-12 months with a three month "mentoring" period. Management Training
The executives and managers at PLS are not only experts in their specific fields - they're also experts in inspiring and motivating people. At PLS, our management training is designed to help new and potential managers develop their interpersonal and organizational skills to become leaders who can develop the talent in their staffs and move the organization forward. The training covers such critical concepts as motivating teams, building relationships, resolving conflict, developing employee potential and coaching for improvement. These skills are vital to our success because we believe that effective leadership at PLS creates leadership in our industry.
