Job Description: Claims Analyst
Location: Cranberry Township, PA
Job Summary
Qualify, record, and track all carrier losses and damage claims. Assist in maintaining and verifying the accuracy of the general ledger. Prepare various reports including those related to clients, carriers, third-party providers, and corporate financial activity..
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Track collection and resolve carrier claims issues through communication with customers, carriers & insurance companies
- Ensure all claim related activity is accurate and well documented
- Prepare and issue weekly/monthly outstanding claims report for customers
- Prepare and maintain outstanding claims report for PLS personnel
- Perform assigned duties in a professional and service-oriented manner with customers, carriers, and fellow employees
- Review all outstanding/pending claims
- Work with customers, carriers and insurance companies to obtain documentation needed to file, amend or resolve a pending or outstanding claim
- Contact carriers and insurance companies for claims status
- Communicate status back to customer as needed
- Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- PC proficient (Microsoft Office preferred), solid Microsoft Excel skills, claims and/or related experience
- Excellent communication and conflict management/resolution skills
- Travel - limited
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1-3 years of collections, A/R or transportation experience
